The snow is coming. . .

So, here I am again.
Job–second period wore me out and I’m hoping for a snow day tomorrow.  Still crunching teh data, but it really makes me feel hopeful about the benchmark in the Spring.  BUT, I hate to get hopeful. . .you know how that goes.  Had a meeting about whether or not they would renew our charter.  One person said that only one out of five people in the English dept. is certified in their position–the rest our certified elementary.  Kind of silly since I’m certified 7-12.  But, of course, I’m not teaching English. Hmmmm. . .
Family–I told my family not to give Andre and I anything for x-mas–just donate to charity, but now I think that they think I’m being cheap.  I’m not, though.  Andre and I just really try to concentrate on GIVING not GETTING.  We have everything we need–we don’t need people to buy us things.  Working with kids who don’t have heat in the winter really makes you feel good about the things you have.
Friends–little to report.  K of Nashville is having a New Year’s Eve party and A and I will have to decide if we want to go, or spend a lazy day at home.  I have to go back to work on the 2nd, so I can’t party too hard.

About takedeux

In one summer I had a baby who was hospitalized for five weeks, quit my job, and moved back to my hometown. This blog is about starting over.
