Hoot

What she Wore: jean capris and a t-shirt.  I’ll admit that since I’m just been puttering around the house I figured I should do it in some cute shoes.  So, I’m doing laundry in stripper shoes!  Oh well.

Have I mentioned that I’m a night owl?  My whole family is the same way.  If I need to call my mom at 11 o’clock at night I just pick up and dial.

Unfortunately, the night owl thing and the teacher thing do not go well together.  I have to force myself to become a regular member of society, so I go to sleep early and get up early.

But that’s not really me.

The real me loves crappy night-time re-runs and bad movies.  The real me gets the most done on her projects after ten o’clock.  The real me likes walking my dog at midnight when the world is quiet and still.

And now it’s Summer, so the real me can have a little fun.  I’ll be watching the Golden Girls at Midnight, surfing the web looking at shoes, and brainstorming blog ideas deep into the night.

‘Till July–that’s when I start my class.  I’d better enjoy this while it lasts.

I’m dashing out of town for a quick weekend with the folks/old friends.  I will try to blog on the road, but if not, expect a ton of stuff on Monday.  I’ve always got a bunch of stuff in this head of mine.

I like late nights and cuddling with the hubby and watching tv or just hanging out. The best time of the day. It is so quiet. Peaceful.

OOOOOOHHHHH. That means I can call you after 10?!?!?!?! I had gotten so use to your teacher schedule that I forgot you were a night person like me. YAY!

  3. Karla says:

HAHA. Concerning your comment: I had momentarily forgotten how you actively pursued your husband. Your game plan obviously worked. Maybe I should put a game plan of my own in motion…

  4. KEL says:

I say if you MUST do the laundry you should do it in style!  I absolutly love the shoes and am enjoying the daily variety.~K

  5. Hollie says:

Wow, I love the shoes! Are you trying to seduce your husband while doing the laundry?  Bad bad KM (smile)!

I am a night owl in the summer, but as soon as the clocks change in October, I feel sleepy at 7pm. My friend who is a doctor called it some syndrome (can\’t remember the name) and said that it mostly affects kids.  It is so weird because when the clocks change again in March, I go back to being a night owl.  However, I teach a summer class from 8 to 10am on Mon to Thurs so I try to get to bed early……even if I just lie there thinking of all kinds of crazy stuff 🙂

Hope you are enjoying the summer holidays!

I am a total night owl too…that seems to be when I get the most motivation!

  8. K says:

On the weekends, I am a total night owl.. but during the week.. I have to be \’normal\’ otherwise… I run myself down… and well that ain\’t too good… LOL…  (love my grammar?)

Love the shoes….  sexy… what about a sexy stelleto?  Always chunky heels?  I\’m a total fan of the stilellto… or thin heel… sexy sexy sexy….

    LOL…

I love being a night owl. I also get more done after 10pm. The last project I just did, I stayed up till 4am working on it. I got more done in those few hours than I did all week! Having a great summer so far?

  10. Antonella says:

I\’m kind of an evening person. I don\’t like to wake up early and I don\’t like to stay up late.

Thanks for the luck! I need it. Hopefully everything will go well!! Have a great time on the road!

PS- glad you like my music!

  11. Karen says:

I\’m an insomniac; not sure if that\’s the same as a night-owl, but it sure keeps me awake!  Love the shoes!

  12. Elizabeth says:

Late nights are the ONLY time I get peace and quiet around here. I relish it.
Did your hubby do a triathalon?  If so he needs to give me some tips. 😉

  13. Tracy says:

OK well we are total opposites!! 🙂  I like the early morning hours — like 6am when the world is quiet, that\’s my favorite time to go running in the park. Well, assuming it\’s summer, lol!!  A is the same way, so on weekends we\’d always get up early and have tons accomplished by 9am!  The neighbors might not have liked that since often that included nail guns and saws, lol.  Hope you have a great Friday!!!

I\’ve noticed some of his flaws, but they just endear HIM more to me. Like he\’s a big baby when he\’s sick, but then I\’m good w/ sick people. He used to eat bad food (junk) all the time…but since I\’ve been cooking for HIM he\’s saying I\’m ruining his taste for other places…I think it\’s cute. I\’m always trying to eat healthy. Lately we\’ve been getting ice cream a lot….Coldstone is the top pick….I love their blue berry/strawberry cheese cake w/ graham crackers…YUM!! He is wonderful and I wouldn\’t trade HIM for a million bucks! (No pun intended?)

I was a night owl for years when I was a cocktail waitress @ a casino, I\’d get off between 11-2 and hit the French Quarter…or hang out watching TV w/ my roomie…I loved Golden Girls BTW.

How\’s everything going since the hubby is home?

Have a GRAND day & weekend!!!!

    Mercy xoxo

I\’m a night owl too!  I am constantly starting some huge project after DH goes to bed and staying up until the wee hours of the morning.  But, it\’s a luxury I have since I work from home and don\’t have to be at the office at 7am.  Woo friggin\’ hoo!!  God bless : )

  16. Alicia says:

I was a night owl when I was single…now if I\’m not in bed between 8-9pm, I CANNOT function the next day!!

Hope you have a GREAT week…I posted one more entry before I go…

    HUGS!!  🙂

  17. Gracia says:

I\’m a total night owl too!  I function at my best from about 10pm onwards.  During the day, forget, it. I\’m a mess. Probably stems from my single-life, college days, when all I did was stay up all night to complete assignments and on the weekend, went bar-hopping till all heck and gone.

I love the shoe idea. Red heels with pointed toes, some sparkle on the sides….

  18. Nadine says:

    Hae a great weekend!!

Shoe shopping online…….doesn\’t that take a lot of the fun out of it??

  19. Cindy says:

    Night Owls Unite!!! LOL

I, too, do my best, most organized work when it\’s late. My kids are so used to hearing the vacuum going or the dryer going long into the night that they could probably sleep through a hurricane!!

Great space, btw…..will have to check back soon….

    Have a great weekend!!

  20. Sue says:

I am the same way… as you probably noticed when we are passing each other in comments!  Drives my hubby nuts since he likes to go to bed early and get up early.  hmmm…  empty nest needs some tweaking I think.
